Caldwell University is a Catholic university in Caldwell, New Jersey. Established in 1939 by the Sisters of St. Dominic, the university is approved by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, chartered by the State of New Jersey, and registered with the Regents of the University of the State of New York.
The university offers 25 undergraduate and 30 graduate programs, including doctoral, master’s, certificate, and certification programs, as well as online and distance learning options. Although in a bowling, a women-only sport at the NCAA level in which a single national championship is contested for all three NCAA divisions, the Cougars are a single-sport member of the East Coast Conference.
In the fall of 2019, Caldwell University will launch an eSports program as a member of the ECAC. The inaugural team will compete in the games of Overwatch and League of Legends. At the same time, the university will also launch a B.S. in e-Sports Management.

Presidential Scholarships
- The candidates should be full-time freshmen with exceptional high school achievements.
- The students should have SAT scores of 1200 or above in maths and verbal combined on exams before March 2024 and 1270 or above on exams in March 2024 or later to be qualified for Caldwell University Incoming Freshmen Scholarships.
- The scholars get $20,000 to full tuition renewable for four years.
Caldwell Scholarships
- The applicants should be full-time freshmen with excellent high school achievements with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- The scholars should have SAT scores of 1000 or above in maths and verbal combined on exams before March 2024 and 1080 or above on exams on March 2024 or later.
- The candidates should get $13,000 to $25,000 renewable for four years to be eligible for Caldwell University Incoming Freshmen Scholarships.
Recognition Awards
- All candidates should be full-time freshmen with outstanding leadership skills or a high-level commitment to extracurricular or community service activities.
- The students should submit an activity resume outlining their leadership positions, extracurricular activities, and community service.
- The Caldwell University Incoming Freshmen Scholarships range from $1,000 to $3,000 and are renewable for four years.
Talent Scholarships
- The students should be full-time students with an interest in art or music.
- Candidates should submit portfolio reviews and give auditions to be qualified for Caldwell University Incoming Freshmen Scholarships.
- The Caldwell University Incoming Freshmen Scholarships range from $500 to $5,000.
Athletic Grants
- The candidates should have outstanding athletic abilities.
