Government of Canada Postgraduate Research Program Requirements
Applicants must have completed a PhD (PhD) within the past three (3) years to be eligible for this scholarship.
The degree should ideally be in the field of natural sciences from a recognized post-secondary institution. Specializations must undoubtedly be related to the responsibilities of the position.

If you are currently pursuing a PhD at an accredited post-secondary institution, you can apply to the PRP. However, to be appointed to a position, you must have obtained your diploma.
Candidates with a PhD degree in a field other than the natural sciences (obtained within the past three (3) years) may also be considered.

If they have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a scientific field, they qualify for the degree. As a result, having a bachelor’s degree coupled with acceptable research, training, and experience will give you an edge.

- Planning, analysis and evaluation of research and development programs in Canada and abroad are critical; OR
